Nach zwei Alben („Blackbox“, 2009 und „Nervöse Welt“, 2011, beide auf Konkord) zielt man mit „Strom“ direkt auf das Herz der Finsternis. Das anno 2005 gegründete Quartett – Martin Konvicka (voc, git), Lukas Müller (git, key), Navid Djawadi (b), Tobias Wurscher (dr) – ist einmal mehr „wütend, tanzbar, wortgewaltig“ (The Gap) und „bewegt auf der ganzen Füße-Bauch-Hirn-Achse“ (alles-ist-pop.de). Aber hinter all dem Wortgeklingel steckt hier hörbar eine Verbissenheit, Ernsthaftigkeit und seriöse Aggressivität, die einen Pressetexte schon nach kurzem Hineinriechen aus der Hand legen lässt. Songs wie „Blackhole“, „Schnitt“, „Frost“ oder die erste Single „Neuseeland“ sind Anti- Kuschelrock par excellence. Und die seziermesserscharfen, deutschsprachigen und somit unmissverständlichen Texte lassen wenig Raum für ausweichende Interpretationen.

After two albums (“Blackbox”, 2009 and “Nervöse Welt”, 2011, both on Konkord), “Strom” is aimed directly at the heart of darkness. The quartet, founded in 2005 - Martin Konvicka (voc, git), Lukas Müller (git, key), Navid Djawadi (b), Tobias Wurscher (dr) - is once again "furious, danceable, eloquent" (The Gap) and "moving on the whole feet-belly-brain axis" (alles-ist-pop.de). But behind all the ringing of words there is audible stubbornness, seriousness and serious aggressiveness that can put a press release down after a short sniff. Songs like “Blackhole”, “Schnitt”, “Frost” or the first single “New Zealand” are anti-cuddly rock par excellence. And the dissecting knife-sharp, German-language and thus unmistakable texts leave little room for evasive interpretations.
